One such hard to get your hands on product is Vatika Oil. I quite like this oil - I'm not sure if it's any more incredible than ordinary coconut oil, but I quite like it the smell and am not bothered to make my own, so it's likely to stay in my arsenal for a while. Let's get onto the actual purpose of this post. Whilst visiting the family for Christmas, I went into our not so local Indian grocers (because they actually have one within a 5 mile radius, unlike my pedestrianising self up North) I picked up another bottle.
One for me, and one for you.
It's a 300ml (10.14 fl oz) bottle, so slightly bigger than my last giveaway, and the instructions are simple.

ReplyDeleteI've been reading and hearing people rave about how Vatika oil benefits their hair. I had just assumed that since I already have coconut oil, it would be very similary, but Apparently there are herbs in there which offer other benefits.

ReplyDeleteOlli, I never use it from the original bottle. Buy a small flip top bottle from a beauty supply. Submerge the tightly closed Vatika oil bottle in hot water until the oil melts. Remove it from the water, take off the top and use a knife to pop the plastic "cork" out of the bottle. Pour some of the oil into the smaller flip top bottle. Now, when you want to use some oil, you can submerge the smaller bottle in water and it will melt more quickly for use and you can control the flow pouring out of the bottle with the flip top. You can also use a dye applicator bottle like I use (I show it at the beginning of my pre-poo tutorial):

The thing with that is that the top doesn't close as tightly and you could end up getting water in the bottle. So, I think a flip top bottle is better.
